Protein expression purification service

AbClon produces a variety of recombinant proteins and antibodies to make your research more
convenient. Protein expression purification service can be performed in conjunction with gene
synthesis, cloning and subcloning services using various vectors. The optimal expression
purification conditions are confirmed on a small scale, and mass production and purification
processes are carried out to produce efficient protein. The recombinant proteins and antibody
expression services can be carried out in bacterial and mammalian systems depending on the
purpose of the experiment.

Conjugation Service

Small molecules (peptides, chemicals, etc. 20kDa or less) are used to make antibody by conjugating with large size carrier protein because the size of antigen is small and immune reaction may not occur.

Carrier protein type : KLH, BSA

Conjugation Linker

  • Sulfo-SMCC : conjugation using -SH group
    • - For peptides, there should be no cysteine in the middle of the sequence
      • · Cysteine affects conjugation when it is the middle
    • - Coupled with the NH2 group of lysine in the carrier protein

Sulfo-SMCC conjugation
  • Glutaraldehyde: conjugation using -NH2 (free amino group)
    • - For peptides, there should be no Lysine in the middle of the sequence.
      • · Lysine affects conjugation when in the middle
    • - Coupled with the NH2 group of Lysine in the carrier protein

Glutaraldehyde conjugation
  • EDC: -COOH (Carboxyl group)
    • - For peptides, there should be no aspartic acid and glutamic acid in the middle of the sequence.
      • · Aspartic acid and glutamic acid affects conjugation when in the middle
    • - Coupled with the NH2 group of Lysine in the carrier protein

EDC conjugation

In case of antibody production by small molecules (including peptides) conjugated with carrier protein, small molecule conjugated with other carrier protein is used for ELISA screening to screen the antibody reaction against small molecule only.

  • Ex.) Immunization → peptide conjugated with KLH, ELISA screening → peptide conjugated with BSA
